SSAFA 5k – race 2 – 22nd June

A hot day presented a ‘warm’ evening. Too warm for some people, who might have preferred the rain that greeted the runners for the first race in the three-part series.

Wednesday’s event had a race within a race. It included the South Wales championships.

We’re still waiting on a full set of South Wales championship results to see how many Bridgend Athletics names are in there. For now, we know that both Adam and Kate took home medals for top three overall.

Welsh tiathlon medal

With a series of race distances over the swim, bike, and run discipline on Sunday 26th, Sophie Moore finished second in the Welsh champs. With 7th in the British champs, she’s qualified for the World’s next year.


Sion Evans and Jon Parry were also in action.
