The YELLOW WAVE Crashes for BCRL

Last night the Yellow Wave (as we have now become!) crashed on the shore of Porthcawl with the first of 7 Bridgend County Running League (BCRL) events. For those that are not aware of it – it’s a local league between us and 6 other running clubs in the area – and it’s a closely fought set of events that run once a month over the summer period.

Last night saw 49 seniors turn up for the event – possibly our best ever turn out for such an event – and we were rewarded with 5 of the available 6 podium slots.

Congratulation to ALL runners – and to those that took the podium places

1st Male – Mark Emery                   1st Female – Bethan Hardman

2nd Male - Sean Tobin                    2nd Female – Georgie Dando

                                                            3rd Female – Ebony Vanderras

It was particularly pleasing to see a real mixture of club stalwarts, new joiners, those returning from injury and up-and-coming juniors (as we can see runners over 16 run for us).

The final results are on the BCRL Facebook page.
